Diamond Wire Saw for Quarry Mining of Granite, Marble and Stone Blocks

Product Overview

CAHARD sintered diamond wire is designed for quarry cutting and block extraction of granite and marble. The GD quarry series includes six models for different stone conditions: GD-21, GD-22 and GD-23 for granite, and GD-31, GD-32 and GD-33 for marble.

Model selection is based primarily on stone type and hardness. Matching the wire model and operating parameters to the actual quarry material helps users select a configuration suited to the cutting conditions on site.

For natural stone materials other than granite and marble, please provide the stone information and current cutting conditions for product evaluation and selection.

Choose the Right Wire by Stone Type & Hardness

Start with the stone category, then select the model according to whether the material is hard, medium-hard or soft.

Granite Cutting Series

GD-21 Hard Granite
For hard granite quarry cutting and block extraction.
GD-22 Medium-hard Granite
For medium-hard granite quarry cutting conditions.
GD-23 Soft Granite
For soft granite quarry cutting conditions.

Marble Cutting Series

GD-31 Hard Marble
For hard marble quarry cutting and block extraction.
GD-32 Medium-hard Marble
For medium-hard marble quarry cutting conditions.
GD-33 Soft Marble
For soft marble quarry cutting conditions.

If the exact stone hardness is uncertain, provide the stone type, stone name or origin, quarry location and available cutting data. CAHARD can assist with model selection according to the actual material.

Quarry Applications & Key Selection Factors

Typical Quarry Applications

  • Granite quarry cutting
  • Marble quarry cutting
  • Granite and marble block extraction
  • Large quarry block separation and primary cutting

Key Factors for Wire Selection

Granite and marble can vary significantly in hardness, mineral composition and abrasiveness. These differences affect cutting resistance and actual wire performance.

  • Stone type and hardness
  • Mineral composition and abrasiveness
  • Current wire specification and performance, if available
  • Block size and cutting dimensions
  • Wire saw machine configuration
  • Cooling and water conditions

The performance figures above are specified for granite and marble. For other natural stone types, contact CAHARD for evaluation rather than applying the granite or marble performance data directly.

Tell Us About Your Stone & Quarry Project

Stone type, hardness, quarry conditions and machine configuration can all affect diamond wire selection. To help CAHARD recommend a suitable GD-21, GD-22, GD-23, GD-31, GD-32 or GD-33 configuration, please provide the following information when possible.

Information for Product Selection & Quotation

  • Stone type and commercial name: granite, marble or other natural stone
  • Stone hardness: hard, medium-hard or soft, if known
  • Quarry location or stone origin
  • Block size or cutting dimensions
  • Estimated cutting area
  • Current cutting rate and wire life, if available
  • Current wire diameter or wire specification
  • Wire saw machine model and power
