Diamond Core Drill Bit Segments

Product Overview

CAHARD diamond core drill bit segments are available for new core bit manufacturing and for retipping worn, reusable core bit barrels. They are supplied as cutting segments rather than complete core drill bits.

The specification table covers core bit diameters from Ø18 mm to Ø350 mm, grouped by core bit size. Multiple segment profiles and dimensions are available for different core bit designs. The appropriate segment specification can be selected according to the core bit diameter, barrel design, existing segment dimensions and drilling application.

For core bits used in concrete or reinforced concrete, please also provide the drilling material, reinforcement condition and working conditions when requesting a specification recommendation.

Diamond Core Drill Bit Segment Applications

New Diamond Core Drill Bit Manufacturing

For producing new diamond core drill bits, with segment specifications selected to match the core bit diameter and barrel design.

Retipping Worn Core Bit Barrels

For replacing worn diamond segments on reusable core bit barrels.

Replacement Segment Matching for Existing Core Bits

For replacement work where the new segment profile and dimensions need to match an existing core bit or barrel design. A clear photo or drawing of the existing core bit and segment can help with identification and specification matching.

Segments for Concrete & Reinforced Concrete Core Bits

For diamond core bits used in concrete and reinforced concrete drilling. When requesting a recommendation, provide the drilling material, reinforcement condition where applicable, and working conditions.

Diamond Core Drill Bit Segment Features

For New Core Bit Manufacturing & Retipping

The same product range can be used for new diamond core bit production and for replacing worn segments on reusable core bit barrels.

Core Bit Sizes from Ø18 to Ø350 mm

The specification table covers core bit diameters from Ø18 mm to Ø350 mm in listed size groups. Use the table to identify the applicable core bit size and corresponding segment data.

Six Listed Segment Profiles

Gear, Turbo, Flat, Roof Top, Point-Type and Honeycomb profiles are available within this product range. The appropriate profile should be selected according to the core bit design, segment dimensions and drilling application.

Diameter- and Profile-Specific Segment Dimensions

Segment dimensions vary with both the core bit diameter group and the selected segment profile. Refer to the specification table when checking the required dimensions.

Custom & OEM Segment Specifications

In addition to the listed specifications, CAHARD can supply and discuss segment specifications for different core bit designs, retipping requirements and OEM applications.

When sending a custom or OEM requirement, include the core bit or barrel diameter, barrel wall thickness if available, existing or required segment dimensions, preferred segment profile, material to be drilled, reinforcement and working conditions, required quantity, and any OEM specifications.

For retipping work, a photo or drawing of the existing core bit and segment can make specification matching easier.

How to Choose the Right Core Drill Bit Segment

Confirm the Core Bit Diameter

Start with the diameter of the core bit or barrel, then use the specification table to identify the corresponding size group.

Confirm the Required Segment Profile

Specify whether you need Gear, Turbo, Flat, Roof Top, Point-Type or Honeycomb segments. For replacement work, a photo or drawing can help identify the existing profile.

Check Existing Segment Dimensions

If the segments are for retipping or replacement, provide the dimensions of the existing segments whenever possible. These can then be compared with the listed specifications.

Confirm the Barrel Design

Core bit diameter and barrel design are both relevant when matching the segment specification. Barrel wall thickness is also useful when available.

Confirm the Drilling Application

Let us know what material will be drilled and under what working conditions. For reinforced concrete applications, also include the reinforcement condition.

Tell Us About Your Core Drill Bit Segment Requirements

To help CAHARD identify the suitable segment specification, please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Core bit or barrel diameter
  • Existing segment dimensions, if available
  • Required segment profile
  • Barrel wall thickness, if available
  • Whether the segments are for new bit manufacturing or retipping
  • Material to be drilled
  • Reinforcement condition, if applicable
  • Working conditions
  • Required quantity
  • OEM specification, if applicable

For retipping or replacement work, you can also send a clear photo or drawing of the existing core bit and segment.

If you are unsure about the exact specification, send the core bit size, drilling application and a clear photo of the existing core bit or segment. CAHARD can then help check the appropriate segment specification before quotation.

CAHARD can help match the segment profile, dimensions and specification for new diamond core bit manufacturing, retipping and replacement requirements.
