CAHARD offers this diamond wire range for two stone-processing applications: profiling and multi-wire slab cutting. The Profiling Series is used for granite and marble profiling, including granite curve cutting and irregular slab cutting. The Multi-Wire Series is designed for granite and marble slab processing.
Each series uses a different combination of bead diameters. The Profiling Series comes in Φ9.0 mm and Φ7.3 mm, while the Multi-Wire Series comes in Φ5.3 mm, Φ6.3 mm and Φ7.3 mm. Since Φ7.3 mm is used in both series, the processing method and machine setup should be identified before the wire is selected.
The Profiling Series is suitable for granite curve cutting and profile processing where shaped or non-straight cuts are required.
Available bead diameters: Φ9.0 mm / Φ7.3 mm
Choose the diameter according to the profiling machine, workpiece geometry and required cutting profile.
The Profiling Series can also be used for irregular cutting on stone slabs. Wire selection should take the machine setup, workpiece shape and required cutting path into account.
The Multi-Wire Series is designed for granite slab processing on multi-wire saw machines.
Available bead diameters: Φ5.3 mm / Φ6.3 mm / Φ7.3 mm
The required diameter should be matched to the machine setup, number of wires and stone-processing requirements.
The Multi-Wire Series can also be used for marble slab processing. It is listed for multi-wire saw machines configured with 5–72 wires.
| Series | Bead Diameter | Bead Type | Weight | Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profiling Series | Φ9.0 mm / Φ7.3 mm | Sintered | 1.6 kg / 10 m | Granite / marble profiling, granite curve cutting and irregular slab cutting |
| Multi-Wire Series | Φ5.3 mm / Φ6.3 mm / Φ7.3 mm | Sintered | 1.6 kg / 10 m | Granite and marble slab processing |
Multi-Wire Machine Configuration: The Multi-Wire Series is intended for machines configured with 5–72 wires.
The following reference values are listed for granite conditions.
| Granite Condition | Cutting Rate | Cutting Life |
|---|---|---|
| Hard Granite | 5–8 m/h | 6–15 m²/m |
| Medium-Hard Granite | 8–18 m/h | 15–22 m²/m |
| Soft Granite | 18–25 m/h | 25–40 m²/m |
| Granite Condition | Cutting Rate | Cutting Life |
|---|---|---|
| Hard Granite | 1–3 m/h | 2–4 m²/m |
| Medium-Hard Granite | 1–2 m/h | 2–3 m²/m |
| Soft Granite | 0.8–1.5 m/h | 0.8–2 m²/m |
Performance Note: The values above are reference data for granite. For marble, operating parameters should be confirmed according to the stone and machine conditions.
The complete range includes Φ5.3 mm, Φ6.3 mm, Φ7.3 mm and Φ9.0 mm. The available diameter depends on the selected series.
Both the Profiling Series and Multi-Wire Series use sintered diamond beads.
The Multi-Wire Series is listed for machines configured with 5–72 wires. Machine setup and wire count should be checked when selecting the required diameter.
Φ7.3 mm is used in both the Profiling Series and Multi-Wire Series. It should therefore be selected according to the processing method and machine type, rather than by diameter alone.
For curve, profile or irregular slab cutting, choose from the Profiling Series. For granite or marble slab processing on a multi-wire saw, choose from the Multi-Wire Series.
Specify whether the material is granite or marble. For granite, include the stone hardness if known.
The available diameters are:
Because Φ7.3 mm is used in both series, the application and machine type should be identified before selection.
For profiling applications, provide the machine type or model together with the required profile and workpiece geometry.
For multi-wire applications, provide the machine model and number of wires so the wire can be matched to the saw setup.
To help CAHARD identify the appropriate diamond wire series and diameter, please provide as much of the following information as possible:
For profiling applications, the required profile and workpiece geometry are especially useful for selection. For multi-wire applications, the machine model and number of wires are the key details needed before quotation.
